The Alabama Department of Finance provides innovative, resourceful leadership and service in financial management
and operational support in order to advance the Governor's mission of restoring
trust in state government. The Finance Director is the chief financial officer
of the state, the advisor of the Governor and the Legislature in financial matters, and is
responsible for protecting the financial interests of Alabama.
With 13 divisions and more than 350 employees, the Department of Finance
claims a number of responsibilities. This website serves as a portal to our
director’s office and our divisions. We encourage you to visit each of their

The Public School and College Authority (PSCA) finalized
the sale of $18.4 million of capital improvement pool bonds on Wednesday,
announced State Finance Director Clinton Carter. Proceeds from the sale will
provide school loans to the local boards of education for Bessemer City Schools,
DeKalb County Schools, Franklin County Schools, Gadsden City Schools, Leeds City
Schools, Midfield City Schools, Trussville City Schools and Tuscumbia City
